My design uses IP which do not expose a memory map such as the xconcat or mii_to_rgmii blocks.
When processing these blocks, the device tree generator fails with messages similar to the following:
Hsi 55-1545] Problem running tcl command ::sw_device_tree::generate :
ERROR: [Common 17-161] Invalid option value '' specified for 'object'.
while executing "get_property BASE_VALUE $ip_mem_handle"
By default, the device tree generator attempts to locate the base address for IP blocks. For those IP blocks that do not expose a memory map this check will fail.
This issue is resolved in the PetaLinux 2015.2.1 release.
