I have a Vivado project that contains a user IP containing Xilinx IP.
I am migrating from a previous version of Vivado.
At the end of the migration process I select the option to upgrade the IP cores in the project.
Report_ip_status shows that this was completed.
However, when I open the packaged IP by double clicking on the component.xml, or selecting "Package IP" under Project Manager, I see the following warnings:
[IP_Flow 19-3507] File Group 'xilinx_anylanguagesynthesis (Synthesis)': The referenced subcore 'xilinx.com:ip:blk_mem_gen:8.2' is not the latest version in the IP catalog. The latest version is 'xilinx.com:ip:blk_mem_gen:8.3'.
[IP_Flow 19-3507] File Group 'xilinx_anylanguagesynthesis (Synthesis)': The referenced subcore 'xilinx.com:ip:fifo_generator:12.0' is not the latest version in the IP catalog. The latest version is 'xilinx.com:ip:fifo_generator:13.0'.
It appears that the Sub-core references (In this case, RAM and FIFO) are not updated to the latest version.
To work around this issue, re-run the IP packager and overwrite the existing component.xml.
The newly packaged IP will refer to the correct version of the Sub-cores.
