ERROR: [Common 17-53] User Exception: Constraints cannot be saved due to read-only file:<>/<xxxx>.xdc
Suggestions include:
#160;1. Change the file's permissions on disk and retry 'Save Constraints'
2. Import the file into the project and retry 'Save Constraints'
3. Save an entirely new constraints set using 'Save Constraints As...'
This problem has been fixed in Vivado 2014.3
For versions where the problem occurs, the solution is to change the XDC files to writeable mode.
Even though they are not written to, Vivado is checking to see that they are not READ_ONLY.
